And I have no idea where to start.
Maybe with the beginning of my amateur photography journey?
Robert Doisneau, born in 1912, died in 1994. 1994โthis was the year I paid real attention to photography for the first time. The disappearance of that artist was all over the news, and I became familiar with some of his most famous works.
One of his most iconic photographs is Le Baiser de lโHรดtel de Ville (The Kiss by the Hรดtel de Ville or Kiss at City Hall), taken on a Parisian street in 1950. It’s considered one of the most romantic and popular photos ever taken. Although Doisneau was a street photographer in Paris, capturing intimate moments of couples, this classic shot was staged.
From that moment on, I had a growing interest in photography, but I never could afford a camera. Until 2006, that is. After reading review after review, and during a time when digital SLRs were becoming more affordable, I decided to get hold of a Nikon D80!
What fun that camera was!
